2006 Mazda 6

This front wheel drive mid-size sedan was commissioned for a sportier drive to replace its earlier 626 series in 2003. Since then, the 2006 Mazda 6 has been slowly fine tuned over the years to near perfection. The 2006 model offers a few changes over the previous versions.

Available in either four-speed automatic transmission, six-speed automatic transmission or the standard usual five-speed manual transmission, the 2006 Mazda 6 provides a fun and smooth ride.

The 6 series also offers buyers a choice of two engines, the 2.3 liter four cylinder puts out a surprising 160 hp, while the more powerful 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine offers a much higher 220 hp.

Traction control and antilock brakes are standard equipment, as are the trademark large dials on the dashboard. The exterior gets a face lift however, with new side sills, rear fascias, and a newly designed sporty five-pointed grille with a Mazda logo that gives the automobile a fresh look.

Consumers can also choose from a four speed automatic gearbox, a six-speed automatic gearbox with manual provision or a five speed manual transmission .

Safety features are excellent with optional side curtain airbags for all three rows of seats in the '05 Mazda 6 along with the standard seat mounted front airbags. The 2005 Mazda 6 is a smooth drive and offers a sporty ride, especially when you are driving the manual shift.
